Paris will be the home of a new Community Health Hub. Construction on the project is expected to begin this summer.
Brant County Council voted unanimously in favor of awarding a $10.5 million contract to Norlawn Builders of London to begin construction on the 42,000 square foot Community Health Hub on Curtis Avenue North in Paris.
The Brant Community Health Hub will house a range of health care services, including family physicians, health care practitioners, community support agencies, health supplies, and other health care and social services.
Ward 2 Councillor, Steve Howes says the project could be a game-changer for the residents of the community. Many local people, county staff, and past and present council members have contributed to getting this project to the construction stage.
The county also expects the new facility will assist in attracting and retaining physicians in the area who currently have limited facility options in the county.
