Brantford Celebrates Kindness in the Community

“It’s actually something that can change a community, by good into good… kindness is using something good that you do out of something good that you are …. it’s a true superpower.”

Dave Carrol, Captain Kindness

The Brant Community Foundation is leading the spread of gratitude, caring and kindness throughout the community. The foundation designated Friday, November 1st “Random Acts of Kindness Day” in Brantford and the surrounding area.

“Celebrate kindness and get people thinking about it. When you think about it, you also recognize what others are doing for you.”

Joanne Lewis, Executive Director, Brant Community Foundation

The foundation’s team spent part of the day in the community facilitating surprise gifts. Just some of the ideas the group suggested to the public were to buy someone a coffee, offer to drive someone to an appointment, hold a door open, pay a parking meter, or carry someone’s groceries.
