Brantford Police Search for Suspects Following Downtown Shooting

Brantford police are searching for two suspects following the third violent incident this week in the city.

The shooting occurred at approximately 2:15AM Friday morning on Colborne Street near Bain Street. One 25 year old male was sent to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police say, two men had got into an argument which turned physical. A third man became involved at that point and shot the victim. Two suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

When police located the vehicle, the suspect failed to stop and a pursuit ensued onto Highway 403. Police also say, the suspects intentionally struck one police car. Due to the risk to public safety police discontinued the chase.

Brantford Police are now looking for a Grey/Silver 4 Door Mercedes that was last seen travelling East Bound on Highway 403 as well as two suspects. They are currently looking for 30 year old, Andrew Kreko, as well as a 25 – 30 year old Asian male with long black hair, short on the sides.
