Brantford Remembers

The arrival of heavy snow and cold temperatures, did not deter hundreds from participating in this year’s Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Brantford Cenotaph.

The ceremonies began in Harmony Square with the inspection of the Honour Guard.

The walking march then proceeded to the Cenotaph at the Brant County War Memorial at Brant Avenue and Dalhousie Street.

The reading of “In Flanders Fields” was read by 98 year old Second World War pilot, Lloyd Bentley.

Second World War pilot, Lloyd Bentley, officially received his wings recently at the annual Thank-A-Vet Luncheon.

Due to weather, the scheduled fly pass by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum had to be cancelled.
