COVID-19 Update – October 1, 2020

BRANTFORD – The Brant County Health Unit reported three new COVID-19 infections Thursday. There are now 17 active cases in Brantford and Brant County. There have been 191 confirmed cases in total, including 169
recoveries and five deaths.

Testing at the assessment centre, which has moved to Brantford’s Civic Centre on Market Street, will be moving to appointment only.

As of Friday morning, appointments can be booked through the Brantford General Hospital by phone or email at [email protected] Officials say the move will help address high volumes and streamline the testing process, so patients and families are seen in a timely fashion. The goal is to schedule appointments within 24 hours of the request. Currently, the assessment centre is accommodating about 500 tests a day.
