COVID-19 Update – September 24, 2020

BRANTFORD – The Brant County Health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 Thursday, down from five Wednesday. There are currently 13 active cases in Brantford and Brant County, and all patients are recovering at home.


The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board reports its first case of COVID-19 in the school system. The board declared a case at St. Pius Catholic Elementary School on Wood Street in Brantford on the same day the Grand Erie District School Board announced the third case of COVID-19 at its school, Onondaga-Brant, in Brantford.

The Ontario government is investing over $1 billion to expand COVID-19 testing, help track, trace and isolate cases of the coronavirus. It will be the largest provincial testing initiative in Canada.
