Four Active COVID-19 Cases Remaining

BRANTFORD – The Brant County Health Unit reports there are now four active cases of COVID-19 remaining in Brantford and Brant County.


No new cases were reported on Tuesday, leaving the total number of positives unchanged at 136 including four deaths and 128 recoveries.

The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit also reported no new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, leaving the total number of positive test results at 446 and active cases at 18. Thirty-two people have died from COVID-19 in Haldimand and Norfolk.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario surpassed 200 for the first time in three weeks, with the highest number of new infections reported in Peel Region. Ontario reported 203 new cases of the virus Tuesday, up from 135 confirmed one day prior.

Another notable increase was reported in Ottawa, where an additional 43 cases were confirmed over the past 24 hours. A further 30 cases were reported in Toronto, and 24 new infections were confirmed in Windsor-Essex.
