Brantford Police have charged two males involved in a home invasion robbery Monday night. Another suspect is still at large.
Police say they responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Sarah Street at approximately 9:00pm on Monday night where three armed men had broken into a residence with firearms. There were four people in the home at the time and one was assaulted.
Gunshots were fired by the suspects outside as they fled. Brantford Police enlisted help from the Woodstock K9 Unit where they located the victims. One victim was treated for minor injuries
The K9 Unit searched, tracked and located two suspects hiding on nearby properties. They were arrested without incident. The search continues for a third suspect. Police also say, two firearms have been covered, one of them a replica.
The suspects arrested are a 26 year old male from Brampton and a 33 year old male from Mississauga.
Police do not believe the incident to be a random act and continue to investigate. The major crime unit is asking for any residents in the area with home security footage to contact them.
