Hockey Night in Brantford Results in Large Donation

Hockey Night In Brantford has resulted in community contributions totaling over $146 000. Those proceeds will be donated to Crossing All Bridges, an organization providing programs for adults living with developmental disabilities. MP Phil McColeman, says the organization plans to use the funds to build a new home for their programs.

“What we have evolved this into is a tribute to not only the players who have played at the highest levels and are part of the alumnus community of Brantford Minor Hockey, but we also decided to focus on the up-and-comers…those who have a career ahead of them…both men and women by-the-way.”

The popular event took a hiatus last year, but returned Wednesday to be the big fundraiser for Crossing All Bridges. NHL players, Zac Dalpe, Adam Henrique, Brandon Montour, Jake Dotchin, along with newly drafted, Hunter Jones, joined NHL alumni and other elite hockey players on the ice for a 2 period game.

Those who purchased a ticket for the event also had the opportunity to skate with the players prior to the game as well as take part in a photo session.
