BRANTFORD – The number of COVID-19 cases in Brantford-Brant remains unchanged, with no new cases being reported on Friday by the Brant County Health Unit.
Eleven people who have tested positive are currently at home recovering in self-isolation, and one person is in hospital. There have been 148 total positive cases of COVID-19 in Brantford-Brant, including 132 recoveries
and four deaths.
The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 Friday, bringing the total number of positive cases on record since the pandemic began to 465. 405 people have recovered, there have been 32 COVID-19 related deaths in that region.
For the fifth day in a row, Ontario is reporting fewer than 100 new COVID-19 infections. Provincial health officials say 88 new cases of the virus were confirmed Friday, down from the 95 reported one day prior. Officials recorded 86 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 91 on Tuesday, and 88 on Monday, and with today’s disclosure, the rolling five-day average of new cases has now dropped to 90.
