The City of Brantford’s Random Acts of Play program is now partnering with Brantford Food Banks “After the Bell” program. The alliance aims at keeping kids active, healthy and social, as well as providing those in need with healthy pre-packaged snacks.
Random Acts of Play takes place at city parks and indoor spaces throughout the summer. Program Coordinator, Djordge Petrovic, says participants are encouraged to try new things such as croquet, disc golf, high energy games and crafts.
“It gets the kids outside, active, out of their house instead of playing video games”
The program has already seen close to 500 children participate in the past three weeks.
