Online Fight Club in Brantford– Two young Brantford girls face assault charges in connection with what Brantford police are calling an online social media fight club in which assaults were recorded then shared online.

According to police, the fight club features consensual and non-consensual fights between youth in the city. The charges stem following an investigation launched by police after receiving a report from a parent to advise that his 13-year-old daughter had been the victim of a series of serious assaults.

The assaults had been documented by video and made public on social media, further victimizing the young female. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and later sought medical attention.

A 13-year-old girl has been charged with three counts of assault while a 14-year-old female from Brantford has been charged with one count of assault.
