BRANTFORD – There are eleven active cases of COVID-19 in Brantford and Brant County, with one of the patients now in hospital.
The Brant County Health Unit reported no news cases of the novel coronavirus on Thursday but noted the condition of one of the people recovering at home has worsened. There have been a total of 148 positive cases, including 132 recoveries and four deaths. The health unit has now conducted over 18,000 tests.
The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit also reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, leaving the total number of positive cases unchanged at 463 including 401 recoveries and 32 deaths.
Ontario health officials reported 95 cases of COVID-19 and one new death on Thursday, marking the longest stretch with fewer than 100 new cases per day since the end of March. There have now been 39,809 lab-confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection in Ontario, with 2,783 confirmed deaths and 35,906 recoveries.
