Police Arrest Three Teens Following Armed Robbery

BRANTFORD – Brantford Police have arrested three Kitchener teens following a robbery at a financial business on King George Road. The location of a fourth suspect is still unknown.


Police say they responded to a 9-1-1 call to the business about 12:30 PM Monday, where three men, disguised with face covers, long clothing, and gloves had entered armed with a knife and a gun demanding money. A fourth suspect remained outside in a waiting vehicle.

The suspects ordered the employees to the ground, ransacked and damaged the property, and took personal property belonging to the victims. During the incident, one of the victims was struck in the head and received non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects fled the area on foot. Police were able to locate three suspects with the help of the K9 Unit after a short foot pursuit, as well as recover the personal property taken along with a knife and a replica firearm used during the robbery. Police are still looking for the fourth suspect who fled in a white pick-up truck.

Three teens from Kitchener are now facing numerous charges including robbery, use of firearms while committing an offence, assault with a weapon, disguise with intent, and dangerous weapons. All suspects, ages 15, 16, 17, are from Kitchener and cannot be identified as young offenders.
