BRANTFORD – Public pools across the city are slated to begin reopening this weekend with new protocols for visitors and enhanced cleaning and disinfection.
City officials say they have worked in close consultation with the Brant County Health Unit to plan the gradual approach to safely reopening non-essential services to the public.
New protocols for visitors to each facility include the requirement of reservations for swim times, reduced pool capacity, and a maximum of a 45-minute visit.
Woodman Park Pool is scheduled to reopen on Friday, July 10th. The pool will be available Wednesday to Sunday from 1:15 PM for open swims, and 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM for family swims. Reservations can be made by visiting Brantford.ca/ReConnect or by calling 519-752-3343.
Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Pool is scheduled to reopen on Monday, July 13th. The facility will be open Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for lap swims only. Reservations can be made by visiting Brantford.ca/ReConnect or by calling 519-756-9900.
The city says the reopening of rinks at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre are also pending as soon as the implementation of additional health and safety measures is in place.
