Search for Brantford Man Considered Armed and Dangerous

Hamilton Police are searching for a Brantford man wanted for a recent gun theft. Police say, Shawn Marriott, 41 years old, is wanted for breaking into a Hamilton residence and stealing four handguns and one shotgun.

In a statement, police say, they consider the suspect armed and dangerous.

On Tuesday, October 15th, a man broke into a residence in the area of Upper Wellington Street and Mohawk Road East in Hamilton and firearms were stolen. The residents were not home at the time.

An investigation bureau with Hamilton Police Service identified the suspect following an investigation and a subsequent warrant of arrest has been issued the suspect.

Police say, Marriott may be driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla, four-door, red in colour with licence plate number CJXW 599.

Attempts to locate Marriott and the stolen firearms continue. Police are also seeking the public’s assistance with information in relation to his possible whereabouts but are warned not to approach the suspect or his vehicle.
