ST GEORGE – Another popular community event has fallen victim to COVID-19. Organizers of St. George AppleFest have announced the cancellation of the 2020 festival.
The annual fall celebration, coinciding with the apple harvest season, features food, entertainment, craft vendors, and children’s activities, along with bringing thousands of visitors to the town of St. George. This year’s event was scheduled for September 19th and 20th.
The organizing committee decided on the cancellation due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions on mass gatherings.
“To keep the spirit of the festival alive, we have been working on a ‘Virtual AppleFest’. Stay tuned to see details of exciting things to come like entertainment, education, and online access to our vendors.”Jean Tucker, Festival Coordinator
Festival Chair, Tom Pate says the board of directors is saddened to make the announcement and appreciative of the many people – guests, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, service providers, community groups and entertainers for ongoing support.
