The County of Brant Re-opens More Outdoor Facilities

The County of Brant continues to re-open outdoor amenities including, skate parks, sports fields, river access points, basketball courts, and multi-purpose courts.

Over the weekend, the Simply Grand Dog Park and the disc golf course was re-opened to the public. Further outdoor recreational facilities were also re-opened Wednesday.

As of May 27th, outdoor picnic shelters, all skate parks, all sports fields, all basketball / multi-purpose courts are open for casual use only. Organized or team sports are not allowed at this time.

Beginning May 30th, the Bean Park River Access Point, as well as the Penman’s Dam Portage/Launch, will be open. The Eric Thomlinson River Access point in Glen Morris re-opened on May 16th.

Outdoor amenities, such as tables and benches, are not being sanitized. Therefore, the public is being urged to wash or sanitize before and after using these facilities.

The sports fields are not being regularly groomed, maintained, or inspected.
Residents are required to practice physical distancing at all times, remain from gathering in groups of more than five people, and refrain from sharing equipment or multi-use courts with individuals who do not live in your household.
