BRANTFORD – The Brant United Way has kicked off its 2020 fundraising campaign, called Move Brant Forward without a goal or target announced this year.
The Brant United Way has held a fundraising campaign annually since 1948. Due to the pandemic, this year’s campaign will be the first physically distanced one. This year’s Giant Warehouse Sale is taking place at a new location over the span of four weeks instead of one single day.
Brant United Way Executive Director, Dan Rankin says the sale opens up to those with a ticket Tuesday, October 7th through to October 28th.
The Giant Warehouse Sale is the United Way’s biggest fundraiser of the year and in the past has raised over $1 million in favour of local charities.
This year’s sale is taking place at 111 Sherwood Drive, Unit 6. Rankin says a great team of volunteers have been working hard to organize, sort and lay out the aisles to create a physically distance, safe shopping experience.
Close to a dozen organizations and companies donated items up for sale at unbelievable prices.
