WTFest Draws Big Crowds to Brantford’s Foremost Music Festival

All the right ingredients were combined this year at Lions Park in Brantford for the return of What The Fest Music Festival in 2019 after organizers had no choice but to pull the plug on last years event.

Mixing near-perfect weather conditions with food vendors, drinks, local artists and headliners like Bonds of Mara, Ascot Royals, The Beaches, USS and The Sheepdogs proved to be a great recipe for success.

Thank you Brantford. What The Fest is the music festival that doesn’t get canceled!

Jamie Stephens – Event Organizer

Stephens estimated over 7,000 people attended this year and provided his sincere gratitude towards all the supporters of the festival including those who attended.

Celebrity, Ed the Sock, was in attendance and spent some time with the artists backstage as a part of his FU_Music initiative.

FU_Music is a division of FUN – The FU_Network, an online service to replace the lost energy, spontaneity, national camaraderie & street-level honesty of classic Muchmusic.

The Sheepdogs with Ed the Sock

Multiple Juno Award winning, The Sheepdogs with Ed the Sock before appearing on the WTFEST stage.

Hot, upcoming and 2018 Juno award-winning alternative rock band, The Beaches, drew big crowds early. Formed in 2013 from Toronto, this all-girl band took the WTFEST stage and thrilled the audience with their music and energy.

WTFEST’s side stage featured some great regional and local talent: Ruby’s Revenge, The Good Goddamns, SIVLE, Moonlight Desires & Fool’s Union.

A wonderful opportunity given to us brought our band and family closer together…

Our family band was inspired to write our first ever original tunes which were so good we recorded them at Rye Field Studios a brand new recording studio in Brantford and now we have a release party set for Saturday August 17th at Frankie’s.
